Kauri Forest, New Zealand
Kauri Forest, New Zealand
I was talking to one of my friends who has just returned from New Zeland. He was so very excited talking about different places like Puketi, Clutha and Otago areas. He is talking about Kauri Forests and trees some of them are very large and old. The trees are said to be there even before human arrived there. The Kauri Forests are considered to be the perfect night camping in this area. I would certainly like to know as much as possible from all reliable sources please.

This sounds really interesting. Even I would love to know more about it. If someone can post images of it then it will be even more good. I love these kind of places.
You said about night camping, so is it normal at that place. I mean night at forest is not that safe, but if everything is set then it can be even more exciting.

For what you're talking about, it seems to be very interesting. So interesting that I did research to find out more about the place (and it really looks like a great place
).
Could you post some photos?
It would be great to be able to have a peculiar view of the place (without something much glamorized by the sites that only sell tour packages).

Could you post some photos?

I tried to find something according to your demandand could manage with this... Please check. I think it's one of those great places which not many know about, not in Asia at least.

Thanks for this.
The place seems to be really amazing (more than I was imagining, to be honest). I'ill definitely put that place on my list of "places to visit before getting old".

It's when I see places like this that I realize how much we, humans, are just a small grain of sand in this vastness of land.

With big trees like in the Yosemite Park in the US, it would be interesting. However, I have to admit that I don't trust the wilderness in foreign countries because we have a tradition that big trees have spirits living in them. And if we are not careful then we might be hexed and suffer physical ailments.

I like your sense of humor but people in this part of the world do not trust in evil spirits or anything non-physical so they go to these forests with high or very high trees for the sake of adventure. I am sure once you are in this part of the world and see the wildness of wide spread jungles and open areas you will be bowled out immediately and forget everything about spirits
