Wrong side Traffic

Postby naruto100 » Wed Apr 19, 2017 11:51 am

I don't know what is the condition of this in other countries. But here there are still many area where people don't follow the rules and they take wrong side for drive as they want to avoid long route. But because of that they make problem for many others.

I would like to know if other countries having this kind of thing too. I know it is not possible in all part of city. Even here it is not happening all places. But there are certain place where they can do it without worry about police and rules.

If you talk about India then I'm sorry to say that the condition of traffic is pathetic. The number of people following the traffic rules are only a minimal amount. There is no driving test before you get a driving license so anyone who knows even a mere about driving gets on the road. Henceforth you can imagine the condition of traffic here.

Where I am now this is common phenomenon. There are underage untrained drivers without license. Moreover, there are no road rules. In a narrow alley there are bikes coming from every direction and autorickshaws go haphazardly.

Walking itself has become dangerous as you suddenly face an oncoming vehicle from the wrong lane! I guess we aren't very far from the day when even the pedestrian will have to wear a helmet for safety reasons.

Ha ha.. Yes I am talking about our country only. Well, I know the conditions here are quite bad. Though thing have been improved in compare to past, but still there are many drivers who not used to follow the rules at all. Yes for getting driving license, procedure should be change and should be strict so that we can avoid this.

I always follow all the rules.

I think many people think they know all the laws and traffic routes and underestimate where they are. Many of them don't even try to know how the traffic works and think they can do the same thing everywhere (which is obviously something wrong and doesn't need to understand much about traffic to reach this conclusion).

People need to be more attentive to traffic. This is a fact. ;)

There are some countries out there where many drivers hardly keep to the traffic rules. One reason for their nonchalant behavior is the weak or not being effective traffic laws. I was driving sometime ago and the light turn red I stopped even though the road was free. To my surprise the cars that were behind me when they got to the traffic spot and seeing that the roads were free drove passed the red light, virtually all the commercial buses never waited. It was as if I was the wrong driver.

Yes that's true. They should have followed the rules more seriously. I have seen many people are not following rules at all. They do break rules by going on wrong side, and when someone tells them about it then they don't listen at all. So it is kind of irritating. I think for such thing rules should be more strict.

Surely the laws must be increasingly severe (I'm totally in favor of them getting heavier and heavier) as well the punishments (especially those that directly affect the drivers' pocket because it seems that is the only way they understand what they're hearing from authorities).

Sometimes I think that awareness seems to be becoming rare.

This happens daily in my country and mostly the police don't stop them as they will escape with simple bribes. By doing this the police itself encouraging the people to break the rules and then they will punish us. I don't understand what kind of people they are.

Awareness is missing for sure. And this is not the case for the few people. Many people are missing it. Yes higher punishment with the money is the only way to make them understand. Once they will pay the charge they will surely try to avoid same mistake again. Hope so.
