Unplanned trips

Postby DR KOKIL AGARWAL » Wed Apr 26, 2017 12:44 pm

Do you prefer to go on sudden unplanned trips? Or is it that you opt to travel only in case of a well planned trip which was decided many days prior to the date of onset.

I have never been on a sudden unplanned trip so don't know how it feels. Can you all share your experiences here?

Well, here I am used to of such kind of trips. Actually we travels lot, almost two or three times in a month during weekends. Yes such unplanned trips are not as kind of planned trip, but fun is surely similar. Lol. Though I used to have fun in all of them.

Actually as we are used to of it, so even unplanned trips has became like planned trip for us.

I usually like to plan everything I want to do (and of course, my trips are part of that), but every once in a while I like to take risks trying something new, so... Making unexpected trips makes me excited because I don't I'm sure of what or who I'm going to meet along the way. :D

Although at first sight it's something immature (in the view of others), I don't care what people say, after all... The life is mine and who lives it is me. 8-)
Soul Traveler. 8-)

For me a lot depends on exactly how unplanned the road trips are. More often than not, when we take a road trip we are prepared and know exactly where we're going and when, but on the odd occasion we do just set off with no particular destination in mind.

When it comes to unplanned road trips, I think if you aren't going too far then they can be fun, but some planning needs to be done and especially if you're going somewhere you've never been before. Spontaneity is great, but only with a little preparation!

I must admit that you are an experienced traveler . 2-3 times in a month is pretty good. I can understand that now you must have become so used to it that planned or unplanned trip...it would not matter much.

I haven't traveled unplanned, this is what I have experienced so far, I have had date of my travel altered in a way that it came too earlier than I had wished. Meanwhile build up to the travel was in my full knowledge. It's going to be inconveniencing at first to embark on an unplanned trip.

I am a planner and I hate to go on a trip via a sudden impulse. However, I remember that there were times I agreed to travel on a 5-hour trip on short notice. But it was an emergency. The problem with lack of planning is the items that can be forgotten. When I go on a road trip, the usual gear I bring is the cooler with a block of ice and canned drinks. I make the block of ice in our freezer. So when it is a rush trip, there would be no ready block of ice. Besides, I would have to buy the drinks. And how about the snack food? A road trip is only enjoyable when there is food and drinks that give you peace of mind that you wouldn't go hungry no thirsty.

Actually here we have big group for hiking kind of trips. And we used to go to such trip almost every week or skipping one week. As it is of only for one or two days we can manage it in weekends easily. So yes we are now used to of such small trips or even bigger trips.

There were times when I preferred to go with the wind and not to bother much. But after having a kid that needs to be taken along I prefer everything to be preplanned and up to the mark.

I hesitate taking unplanned trips only because of the little one. Any discomfort to him is something that I cannot tolerate.

I am very spontaneous and so I love unplanned trips. Infact such trips gets me more excited.

I am not a person with much demands so I can adjust anywhere with whatever is available. I have had several of such trips in the wildest of places and in unknown terrains too. So, yes unplanned trips are so happening.
