Road trip on a motorcycle

Postby Alexandoy » Sun Apr 16, 2017 12:26 pm

I have a friend who is fond of going on a road trip with his motorbike, it's actually a motorized scooter. He had been inviting me ever since. However, he admitted that driving for a long distance can give you muscle pains from the long duration of the ride so they (the riders) would stop once in a while to stretch and relax a bit, and some can take a smoking break as well. I don't relish riding in 2 wheels because of the high probability of accident. With bikes, it's okay but not motorcycles.

Even I don't prefer long distance travels on motorcylce. In my country nothing is favorable for this ,Neither the roads and the traffic nor the climate .
A short ride is acceptable but a road trip via a motorcycle is out of question. I will never opt for doing anything that makes me do compromise with my health.

Honestly saying I have only tried once for driving long distance by motor cycle. It was around 180km and it was like hell for me. I got lots of back pain on second day which was quite irritating. So since that I don't prefer long distance on motor cycle. It is okay for city purpose only. I guess it is okay for those who are riding it on regular basis.

I'll never have this type of adventure because unfortunately I have seen many bad things happen to some of my family and close friends who rode a motorcycle. :(

I think I was traumatized because I can't even get close to a motorcycle. I know it's exciting, vibrant... But, motorcycles were definitely not made for me.

I enjoy engaging on a motorcycle ride occasionally but not on a very busy road since I am not expert but just doing it for some sort of exercise. It's long I actually did this exercise now just been busy with other low activities, this tend to be a higher profile sport. Would need some training before I can hit the road again.

When I was younger, me and a few friends that was all into biking did a few long distance trips around the UK and in Europe, but I'm not sure I'd fancy doing it now. Riding a motorbike demands concentration more than driving a car, and when you are riding long distances U found that it wasn't just my body that got tired but it was mentally draining as well.

Personally, in my opinion, there's no better way to tour round a country or continent than on a motorbike, but you have to be prepared more than what you would using any other method of transportation and if you do plan on touring on a motorbike, then start off with the shorter trips first and build up to it is my advice.
