Sometimes we may plan and the weather misbehaves on the material day. I remember a day we were to go on a road trip with a few friends of mine. It started to rain when we were just about to leave. We abandoned the road trip altogether. I think a trip when it is raining is not enjoyable. You cannot eat while sitting outside the vehicle, you cannot take pictures and then the issue of visibility and the vehicle getting stuck comes in. I think it would be prudent to do a road trip in good weather.

Well it really has a way of ruining an otherwise good trip. I swear that when it comes to weather issues I always seem to get the worst of it too, and even recently we had to camp in the worst blizzard since the 1930's. Still fun, though.

The best thing to do in this situation is stopping for a while and let the fog clear a bit. It's better getting to your destination late than to risk never being able to get there. If you can't stop anywhere, it's best to drive slow and that will get everyone to start driving slow too.

Not only driving but if you are in middle of a trekking/climbing tour the weather can play its own role. Being a regular on these activities I have faced results of such situations on more than one time. I have past through jungles, hilly areas during heavy rain besides some of the worst driving experiences. I have also some horrible experiences of driving through the heavily misty roads of North India which in itself is a horrific experience.

I guess many people like travelling during rainy season. So I think it is different for different people. I know many people here who enjoy road trip during raining. Yes we have no other option to avoid it if rain is quite heavy. But otherwise I think it is enjoyable.

Bad weather is always a problem for us road trippers. But sometimes we really pursue our hobby.
We won't let any bad weather be hindrance for us to have some fun.
