Bad and broken roads

Postby DR KOKIL AGARWAL » Sun May 07, 2017 12:37 am

Do you dread travelling by road because of bumpy and bad roads? I refrain from road travel if the condition of road in the travelling area is not good. I hate the jerks and bumps of the road.

Bad roads not only increase the travel time but they also make the travelling very tiring.

As much as possible I try to avoid roads full of jerks and bumps. They don't give my drive a smooth one as I have to keep slowing down at every bump and broken spot. Sometimes if you aren't careful enough and you have persons with you on the ride they may complain of inconveniences as you pass the bumps.

Broken roads are common in the rural provinces here that's why you have to be prepared when traveling in those areas. Bumpy roads, dirts roads, potholes and other road problems can be encountered and if you are not prepared for it then you will lose travel time. The only way to prevent mechanical trouble is to drive slowly when the road is not paved well because deep potholes can ruin your car's suspension system. It is inconvenient but if that is the only way then you have no choice.

I hate it when I find roads like this. :?

Whenever possible I try to avoid these types of roads in order to have no "tricky" surprises in the midle of the way. However some trails are very specific and have no alternatives, so... I have to face those types of roads from time to time.

Well... To this day, they have never been a problem to me.

I agree, bad roads are not only a strain on your body and health but bad for your car also. The tires, engine and body of the car get more wear and tear than traveling on a good road which means you spend a lot more on your car's maintenance. I would prefer to travel on a good road even if have to drive a few kilometers extra.
