Alone or with family?

Postby Shine_Spirit » Sun Jun 11, 2017 9:58 am

How do you usually plan your road trips?

In the vast majority of times I prefer to plan alone but sometimes the things don't always turn out as expected and I have to travel with my family for some reason. I'm not complaining (I love my family), but I really care about my moments alone, so... If I plan and finish I have to change the plans, that annoys me a little bit.

I cannot imagine myself going on a road trip alone. That would be boring. Even for a 1-hour trip, I make it a point to have a companion in the car because that would give me confidence. What if the car breaks down? That would be a bigger problem to handle when I am alone while if I have a companion, at least I could easily think of a solution. And when I go on a long drive, it is fun to be talking with someone.

If I am with my family, and I have to go on a road trip most likely I'll invite one or two persons to join me. If they are willing to embark on such activity with me then all of us will have the time together. Well I'm not too particular about having others join me on road trips if they aren't showing much interest.

I prefer to travel alone but when my family voluntarily willing to travel along with me I won't say no. I will change my p[lan accordingly. But when traveling alone I feel fresh and beats my stress off giving me a new energy helping me to become calm and cool.

I find myself traveling alone perfectly (despite thinking of various problems that can happen along the way). This is probably due to my adventurous spirit because I've always been like this since I was a teenager.

I think not everyone has the courage to face various adventures that require some kind of isolation. This is not necessarily a problem, but I think a little adrenaline in life is essential.

Sometimes I just cannot do things with other people, ad I think that it is pretty normal to feel that way. When it comes to trips and things like that, though, I think that it is always better to share those experiences.

I don't like to be alone on road trips and I'm not that good at planning. It's better to have several minds with ideas than just one. I also feel more energetic if there are more people around me. I doubt I'd even have the desire to travel if nobody else was going with me. Sure, I may enjoy it for a while but the loneliness can start to settle in fairly quick for me. To each their own but I like being with family more.

This time it is for the first time that I'm planning a road trip alone with my husband. I'm pretty excited as well as nervous. I will keep my fingers crossed and wish all goes well.

I guess I having totally opposite thing from you. I rarely drive alone. Most of the time when I am driving I am with my family. As we use to go anywhere together. I wonder where you go alone by driving. Driving alone is kind of boring thing for me. But yes it is depend on person.

When it comes to travel, I think the fun begins right at the moment of planning. I've never had to use the services of any agency because I love planning all my travels. It's very fun, challenging, cheaper and I end up knowing several places before I even visit them.

Don't worry, because everything will be fine and enjoy the adventure. 8-)
