Best beach for a foreigner in Australia

Postby Alexandoy » Thu Feb 16, 2017 1:38 pm

This may be a silly question because I know there are many good beaches in Australia. As part of my research for a possible trip to Australia next year, I am searching for the best beach resort that we can go to. My wife and I are already seniors and we are not aiming for extreme water sports like jetskiing. But we love the white sand beaches especially when it is not crowded. We also have good beaches here in the Philippines but the problem is the overcrowding.

Our idea of a beach is one where we can stay the whole day. And being foreigners, it is better to dine in a nearby restaurant than bring our own food. One other aspect of our beach itinerary is the pictorial. I am fond of taking pictures and videos for my library.

Whitsunday Islands is definitely one of the best resort destination in Australia - white sand, crystal water, warm weather. They also provide some additional activities like scuba diving, helicopter... etc. Resort there could be a bit pricey however.

Personally I think some coastal towns are quite attractive to me too. Beach, park, surf shop, cafe, surf boys and bikinis are traditional scenes in Australia. Depends on which city you're heading to there is always awesome beach around.

This picture looks heavenly, no surprise that you say it's one of the best resort destination in Australia. At the same time, I am not seeing many people there, so most likely this is a more remote location. Resorts in paradise locations always cost a lot, but it's certainly something worth saving for.
I love most outdoor activities!

I found out there are so many fine beaches in Australia, it may not be quiet easy to point on one as the best for foreigners this will be subjective.
With that said I think this is one great beach out there, Turquoise Beach, Exmouth

You are right, I am living in Sydney for a long time and have yet to reach to a conclusion which is the best of them all. However, I go to Bondi most often and if you ask me about my next choice it should be Manly. But that doesn't mean I underrate any of the 80 or so beaches in or around the city and not to mention the rest of them in other parts of Australia.

I have already had the opportunity to visit some (by the way, great ones!), but it is always to know new beaches... After all, there is always something new to know.

The world is too big to always visit the same places all the times. Of course great to revisit some places sometimes, but sometimes I think it is a certain "waste of time".
